Overview#
Zebrunner provides a structured way to conduct exploratory testing within a project through Exploratory sessions.
What are Exploratory sessions?
Each Exploratory session serves as a dedicated workspace where you can capture findings, propose improvements, link defects, and more. During an exploratory session, users actively investigate the application, document their Observations, and log any issues or improvement ideas.
Why use Exploratory sessions?
They help users organize research-oriented testing in an easily trackable format. Exploratory sessions streamline collaboration: from noting ideas, bugs, or improvements to assigning follow-up tasks. They make it easier to gather metrics and insights on testing efforts and findings.
Unlike scripted testing, which follows predefined test cases, an exploratory session encourages creativity and flexibility, allowing users to discover unexpected behaviors, usability issues, and potential enhancements. The goal is to ensure a more holistic and real-world assessment of the application.
